MONTH FOUR
SWITCH UP THE "STRESS THINKING"
This month we're going to take the stress, acknowledge it and choose to get into action instead.
Every time one of those "all the things are happening at once," melt down moments happens, STOP.
Stop, take two deep breaths and acknowledge the situation for what it is.
Repeat it quietly and find the steps that make logic sense
to productively problem solve with whatever life is handing you.
This helps us ground ourselves, minimize the overwhelm and get busy
doing something about the situation instead of sitting and dwelling on it.
EXAMPLE: "I'm in crazy mode right now because I need to send six emails,
meet Jane in half and hour and my car won't start.....
....SO, I'm going to call Jane and tell her I'm running late or we need to reschedule.
THEN
I'm going to send only the most important email that NEEDS to be sent
AND THEN
I'm going to call a cab.
